Head for Glory (2020)

Head for Glory is a fast-paced arena fighting-game set in an alternate-reality of ancient Rome, where headless Romans compete for the right to rule the empire as the new Caesar.

Each player enters the fight headless and has to choose out of a pool of 9 different heads, each with a unique ability or attack modifier. But the powers you choose may change by the swing of a sword. As you get decapitated you lose your powers and have to re-evaluate your strategy by changing heads.

When entering the final stage of the fight, Caesar's head enters the arena and grants the bearer special abilities. The fighter who can defend the head while not being decapitated, wins the game.

Determine your fighting style by enhancing your character traits. Your style will evolve during combat as you get to know the benefits of each trait and how to combine your abilities. Plan your attacks by moving on the hex-grid and by creating synergies of card-based abilities combined with your head abilities.

Expand your tableau and build your dice-pool. Draft your abilities, choose your fighting style and master each matchup as you play.
