Beschreibung
Kippkopp and Tipptopp build a snowman in January, pick strawberries in June, harvest in October, and decorate the Christmas tree in December. Each of the 12 months consists of four cards. Collect the quartets – the one who gathers the most wins! After the game, you can read a short tale about each month in the story booklet.
The box contains 3 versions of the game:
Quartet for older kids: A quartet consists of 4 cards from one month. These must be collected through questioning. At the beginning of the game, the cards are dealt among the players. Everyone checks if they have a quartet. If they do, they place it in front of them. Then the game can begin. The dealer starts by randomly asking someone for a card, specifying which month's card they would like. If they are lucky, they receive it and can ask again. If not, the turn goes to the player they asked. If someone completes a new quartet, they place it on the table and can continue asking until they get stuck. They can only ask for a month from which they already have at least one card! The game ends when the cards run out. The player who has collected the most quartets wins.
Quartet for younger kids: At the beginning of the game, everyone is dealt 5 cards, and the rest are placed in the center. If someone already has a quartet in hand, they can lay it down! The starting player asks someone for a card, specifying the month but not the number. They can only ask for a month they already have a card from! If they are lucky, they receive it and can keep asking until they are given a card. If the requested card is not available, they draw a card from the pile, and the next player takes their turn. If they gather a quartet during their questioning, they lay it down and cannot ask anymore. They draw a card, and the next player proceeds. (At the end of our turn, we always draw.) We keep playing until the pile is exhausted. We then finish the round. The player with the most quartets wins!
Slipper: We form a large circle with the cards facing down, spreading the deck loosely. This is called the slipper. A face-up card is placed in the center. Players must place cards on it that match either the month or the number. The starting player draws a card from the slipper. If they can play it, they do; if not, it stays in their hand. They keep drawing until they can play a card. Then, the next player takes their turn. If a player can play cards from their hand when it’s their turn, they can do so without having to draw from the slipper! The game ends when the cards in the slipper are all used up. The player with the fewest cards left in hand wins.
