Bushrangers is a game named after the Australian term for Highwaymen or Outlaws. They were mostly sons of Australian born convicts and became legendary during the Australian Gold Rush of the 1850s and 1860s, robbing banks and coach services. Many became folk heros, such as Ned Kelly rebelling against authority and remain popular in Australian culture

The game has at least one player taking the Mail coach playing piece, starting at either end of the Mail coach road. Other players are Bushrangers beginning at the other end of the board at the Bushrangers lair.

The Mail coach follows the road by rolling a dice and it's objective is to get to the other end. The Bushrangers follow the black spots by rolling the dice and try to intercept the Mail coach. If they land on the Mail coach they have held up the coach and won the come. If he overshoots the Mail coach he cannot go backwards and must follow the track to meet the coach again.

The game can have two Mail coaches in play and several Bushrangers. The coaches can also carry counters representing money.
