Beschreibung
The Wales Space Treasure Game is a spin and move game produced as a promotional game in the late 1950's by the Bank of New South Wales in Australia.
The game sees players using a numbered spinner and starting on earth they traverse a path through the Solar System to finish on Pluto. Along the way a number of detours can be encountered as well as things like cosmic dust, Martian Saucers and Space pirates that will cause delays in reaching Pluto. The winner is the first to reach the Space Treasure chest on Pluto.
The promotional game was included in the Bank of New South Wales (Wales Bank)showbag from one of Australia's Royal Shows in the late 1950's. Showbags are a very popular and distinctive feature of Australian shows (the Australian term for fairs or carnivals) and companies are keen to promote products, samples and brands in their Showbags.
