Arcana Towers is a Tarot-themed board game set in a fantasy realm of Four Kingdoms. It revolves around all the cards found in a Tarot deck. The deck is split into two: the Minor Arcana and the Major Arcana.
The first goal is to collect face cards (Royalty Cards) from the Minor Arcana (which functions like a deck 56 playing cards) in order to collect stones (coin pieces) and draw from the smaller deck of 22 Major Arcana cards.
The overall objective is to win the game by collecting 11 towers which are denoted on a player's black die and red die. You gain towers a few different ways: by collecting 11 stones of a single colour, by collecting 3 Royalty Cards in a single Court on your board, or finally by the effects of Major Arcana Cards that typically grant stones or towers. All of your turn options are marked on a player's Turn Actions tile. There is an Opening Action, Main Action (4 choices) and an Elemental Action (fuelled by a unique Elemental ability and cards). Specialty Cards may also be played before any of these Actions.
Players take turn after turn until one of two things happens: 1: someone reaches 11 Towers, or, 2: the Major Arcana Deck runs out of (22) cards, (if the deck runs out one last turn is taken, and the player with the most Towers and Stones wins the game!
