Battleport (2024)

The duel between 2 computer scientists, where your goal is to unplug your opponent's server before he unplugs yours! First, players split the board in half to separate playfields and secretly plug in 5 cables however they like. Then take turns, playing one of 3 cards they have in hand at the same time. Then they compare whose card is of a higher power. The player with higher power subtracts the power of their opponent's card and then chooses which ports on the grid should be unplugged. The other player doesn't unplug cables but instead uses the ability of the card they played. Then both discard their cards, draw a new card and play continues in the same way until one player doesn't have any more cables. —description from the publisher
