A recipe card has the name of the recipe (e.g. Oatmeal Raisin Cookies) and five ingredients the player will be searching for (e.g. sugar, flour, oatmeal & raisins, butter, and eggs). The deck of 36 ingredient cards is shuffled and placed face-down in the middle of the play area, where it's scattered to make all cards accessible. Play is simple and chaotic. Players grab at cards, one at a time, from the center and look at them. If they need the card, they keep it. If they don't, they put it back. Among the cards are four "rotten egg" cards. If a player draws a rotten egg, play temporarily stops while the player who drew it mixes all their collected ingredients back into the center. Once done, play resumes as normal.
