That Bleak Armada is a generic set of rules for everyone who just wants to get their spacefleets on the table!
The author’s group have played battles with up to 60 ships a side in 2-3 hours.
The game’s simple activation system pushes decisions on players every phase, providing believable results on an ordinary-size table (assumed to be between 4’x4’ and 6’x4’). It also makes the game suitable for solo play.
All measurements are from the ship’s “stem” or centre, so any scale of ship can be used. Similarly, the flexible (somewhat abstract) ship design system lets you easily create & price a profile for any ship you like!
No matter the galaxy you’re fighting in, whether you’re firing lasers or solid shot, That Bleak Armada lets you indulge your interstellar megalomania with a fun, fast game that’s easy to learn but hard to master.
