Vae Victis issue 26. This game offers two battles of the Hundred Years' War--Poitiers (1356) and Formigny (1450). The choice of battles allows one to examine how tactics changed from the beginning to the end of the war--particularly the value of artillery. Each turn is a half-hour of real time and each hexagon represents about 200 meters--thus, these battles are relatively small and quick-playing.
As with all Vae Victis games, the counters need to be cut out and mounted. The rules are entirely in French, although translations are available online.
