“Battle” is a deluxe version of the traditional battleship pencil and paper game. There are several significant additions to this new game. The playing grid is a larger 15 by 22 playing area that contains both land and water squares. The forces of both sides contain ships for the water squares, gun batteries for the land squares, and air formations that can occupy either type of square. Players alternate shots by calling out grid locations. The objective is simply to seek and destroy the opposing force before your own force is destroyed.
