Last Heard is a game centered around dark humor and is about having an eye for the morbidly funny aspect of death and disaster. It’s a variation on the idea of the last words someone speaks before they die: Last Heards are the last words someone hears before they go to that big mansion in the sky. Players of Last Heards make combinations between Text Cards (containing a quote of the last words someone hears before they bump off) and a Photo Card, depicting the lethal situation that led to their unfortunate end. An impartial referee (known as “The Executioner”) decides which combination between Text Card and Photo Card wins the round. Last Heard is also a board game. The player who wins the round, throws a dice and moves forward on the board. A surprising feature of Last Heards is that the player who reaches the finish first, also wins the game. The playing board features “Verdict” cards. A player who lands on a “Verdict Square” on the game board, has to pick a Verdict Card and vill follow ze instructions on ze card.
