Lords of War: Weather and Terrain Expansion Pack (2014)

An expansion released off the back of the Lords of War: Templars versus Undead Kickstarter Campaign, this expansion adds no new Units to Lords of War but instead adds two modifier decks to the base game. The Terrain Deck enables players to build custom battlefields using cards which have a number of effects on the Units placed on top of them. This includes building 'Walls' and 'Gates' which may be destroyed or landscape features such as 'Hills' which increase damage dealt by Ranged Units or 'Marshes' into which Cavalry cannot be placed. The Weather Deck meanwhile creates dynamic weather conditions, including 'Night' during which players can play two cards instead of one in their turn or 'Mist' which allows Infantry Units to deal more damage. These decks can be used together or separately, and the expansion also includes a 'Retrieve The Dragon Egg' minigame which operates much like a 'Capture The Flag' mode.
