Quax is a two player strategy game played on any square board (the author suggests 11x11). A board with Archimedean tiling can also be used.
The goal of Quax is the same as in the famous Hex: to connect the opposite edges of the board with a chain of stones connected to each other.
One of the uncommon features of the game is a special kind of a move: it's possible to connect diagonally adjacent stones of player's color instead of placing a new stone.
