Junk Driver (2020)

Junk Driver is a demolition derby racing game for 2-5 players that takes 45-60 minutes to play. First you draft cards from a selection of engines, weapons, and rocket boosters. Then you race around a track and the first to complete three laps, or the last one standing, wins. It is set in the far future where racers from all quadrants of the galaxy come together to compete in this annual event. Tiny fairies, demon worshipers, and muscle car enthusiasts all come together to smash together parts from different manufacturers to make something resembling a car. Gameplay involves everyone zooming around the track taking actions to shift lanes, do drifts, and fire the wide array of weaponry available to them. The game also uses an energy system where actions can be super-charged through a resource gained at the start of the race. —description from the designer
