"The game will recreate the vast [...] La Bataille de Leipzig on October 16, 1813 in which Napoleon fought desperately to defend his Confederation of the Rhine from the combined forces of the Sixth Coalition (Austria; Prussia; Russia and assorted German states); whose Albion-oiled noose was poised to strangle the last vestiges of the French Revolution from Europe." "There are [seven] 22 X 34 four-color maps with such Saxon towns and villages as Wachau; Markkleeberg; Liebertwolkwitz; Auenhain and Guelden-Gossa, which were the scenes of much fierce fighting in the Battle of Nations. The forces are represented by over 1200 four-color counters and 300 informational markers." --From consimworld.com (note that the rule are included only on the DVD, not in print) "The La Bataille game series are games simulating grand tactical Napoleonic combat. The games are based on historical battles, have detailed Orders of Battles, and can range from small (the space of a coffee table) to "monster game" size (4 or more full maps.) They use the battalion as the primary unit size and 125 yards per hexagon. Units are measured in steps, each step being 100 infantry, 50 cavalry or 1 gun." --BGG Series Description "Only 400 are available for sale. The format allows you to play the whole battle or play scenarios that lead to an overall victory. The rule are published in Flippenbooks which provides word search, active table of contents and you can print what you need. The whole rule booklet is 180 pages" D. Spors
