How far will you go to seize power? Choose your allies wisely in the race for the papal throne...
1492, the Borgia Pope ascends the papal throne following a series of underhanded plots... you, of course, disagree and will use the same tactics to take his place. Defrocked priests, bloodthirsty sanctified soldiers, and adulterous courtesans will become your everyday associates.
With the game and a simple die, you will compete against your friends for possession of Ally cards residing in the city. Choose your Allies carefully among different families: Borgia, Condottierri, Artista, Ambasciatore, and Sanctifico, each offering unique advantages.
You must skillfully maneuver to give your budding empire a chance to overthrow the Pope card and achieve victory. Decide whether to enhance your Corruption skills or master the art of offering Redemption to Ally cards. Spend your Virtue points to gain an edge over your opponents and avoid precious time spent in Penitence.
Finally, take on roles with the Personality and Influence cards, which will only provide benefits if you fulfill silly tasks. Debase yourself, cast aside your principles, take the risk of ridicule, and you might have a chance to become Pope before your opponents.
