In this second part of the campaign Flagellum Amazonis (Scourge of the Amazon), a great journey begins to discover the mysteries of the Great River, in an adventure that goes deep into the jungle, full of perils both natural and supernatural. Ancestral entities and mythological nations are among the challenges your group will have to face if they hope to get closer to the truth that threatens the entire Colony. But can they really overcome the Great River when they reach the end of this journey? Or will it devour them? From a tense meeting with rival Spanish explorers to encounters with the supernatural including a mission to stop a demon from capturng the very Moon, The Serpent Mother of the World plunges your characters into a Brazil both historical and fantastical. A primeira parte, A Ilha Abandonada, começa com um grupo de aventureiros saindo de Salvador até a ilha de Marinatambal (moderna Marajó) para investigar a falta de notícias de um forte português, que acaba descobrindo eventos anormais que colocariam em risco toda a colônia. Ela termina com o grupo se preparando para empreender a maior jornada de suas vidas: explorar o Grande Rio, Amaru Mayu, A Mãe Serpente do Mundo, também conhecido como Rio das Amazonas.
