On May 10, 1940, the German Army Groups A and B began their invasion of Belgium and the Netherlands. The Allies, who determined this to be an offensive based on the Schlieffen Plan, set up as planned a line of defense along the Dyle river in Belgium. The Rise of Blitzkrieg simulates the Fall of France. One player is the German, the other the Allies, and the game starts with operations plans.
