Pazin’s vengeance was delivered when she and a band of loyal companions, known as the Paziniars, stood at the Grand Pariun’s side to prevent an attempt on his life. The events of Carul Spring are well-documented and oft exaggerated, but the abiding truth is that when the carnage had settled the Grand Pariun, blood-soaked and barely clinging to his life, decreed Pazin to be his instrument of justice. Pazin’s doctrine is the only recognised law enforcement throughout the Known World. The Paziniars, named for Pazin’s original followers, are the only official enforcers of this doctrine. To this day they serve as investigators, bounty hunters, and keepers of the peace.
