Intermedium (or) Stepping Stones, both titles are used in the rules and on the cover) is a somewhat unusual abstract strategy game played on 7x10 grid. The players move their pieces on two interweaved but separate sets of paths, and movement/capture is somewhat reminiscent of a 2-dimensional Mancala - a stack of pieces is moved by dropping one piece off the stack in every space it moves into, and opposing pieces can be captured if the last piece ends next to them and certain requirements are met (they have to be surrounded, basically).
The object of the game is to capture the opponent's City, the middle space on their closest row.
