Atlas is a tableau-building game where you take the role of a backpacker with a special ability, personality, and language. You have saved up money for a journey of a lifetime around the world! Like any long journey, strategic decisions have to be made as you balance traveling and exploring with your available money and energy level. With 235 Countries and 865 unique destinations to visit, each play of Atlas creates a unique journey and offers interesting real world facts about each of these areas. Where will you go next?
When you explore a destination you gain experience icons. Each experience will reward points in the end based on its popularity which the players will shift during the game.
Develop as you learn new languages, make new friends, complete personal goals while racing against other players for Public Goals, collecting souvenirs first or posting the most popular Blog Posts. Tough decisions have to be made for every action, boost yourself by experiencing things you like to gain possibilities to perform bonus actions. This might bring you closer to achieving even more points.
The game ends when a player places their last explorer token. The player with the most points wins.
