Post of Honour – Wargames rules for the War of the Austrian Succession & the Seven Years War 1740-1763 is designed for a ‘classic’ historical wargame.
Features:
12-20 units per side,
game lasts a couple of hours,
it can be played at home or at your wargaming club.
the overall commander controls 3 to 5 brigades and up to 2 independent units.
The rules were developed for games using 25-30mm figures, and conversion to other scales is easy.
Turn Sequence
Each turn has 5 phases:
1- Initiative. The winner elects to be side A or side B.
2- Movement. Side A moves (generals move last), then side B moves (generals last).
3- Firing. Simultaneous fighting.
4- Close Combat. Simultaneous fighting. Initiative winner chooses order of combats.
5- Generalship & Rallying. Simultaneous. Generalship first, then rally checks.
Morale may need to be checked in the movement, firing, or close combat phases.
