Manage your warband, explore your surroundings and face your opponents in this fast paced skirmish wargame! Skill & Fate is a skirmish wargame system that allows you to focus on interesting decisions instead of dealing with minutia of rules and tedious bookkeeping. What makes Skill & Fate different is its focus on free form movement and fluid turn structure. Whenever you move your figures, you move them in a straight line until terrain stops you or you decide to stop. Whenever you're moving inside line of sight of an opponent, they may try to interrupt you and take an action. Combat is resolved by drawing cards with defense icons, and damage is marked by figures themselves (by making them prone or removing them from the board). All you need to start playing is 12 cards per player, 12 beads or tokens (to mark command points), handful of miniatures and some terrain, all of which can be downloaded and printed out before shelling out money. —description from the publisher
