One of the things that has managed to keep the Known Lands so homogenous over the course of the Golden Age, the Age of Thunder, and now the Age of the Darkfall is the consistent calendar used across the face of the entire continent. In the time before the Peace of Rose, each culture had its own calendar, its own map of measuring elapsed time, and made coordinating events or even travel between kingdoms difficult. Now a single system of days, weeks, months, and years allows for tremendous simplicity when dealing with indivdiuals from different nations.
