User summary:
The F.R.P. Character Card was an early character sheet intended to support "E.P.T., D & D, T & T, C & S, Space Quest, Runequest," etc.
The cards were 5" x 8" and had 1/8" holes punched around the entire border to enable rapid selection of an individual card from a large stack. For example, cards for a peculiar game system would retain a specific hole intact - cards for all other game systems would have that hole clipped through from the card margin. An included needle then could be pushed through the entire stack of aligned cards, and only the ones with the hole intact would remain on the needle (others would fall off).
The holes on the different edges of the card were numbered in separate, letter-coded series.
The cards were sold in bagged sets of 40 or 80, and each set included a needle (something like a wire safety-pin) and a special punch tool.
