“2-Player Pirate Strategy War Game. One player plays the rum runners. The other player plays the interceptors (rival pirates).”
The game is played on a chess board or other 8x8 grid. There are seven types of units in the game: Swashbucklers, Swordsman, Slashers, Rum Runners, Musketeers, Pirates, and Mercenaries. The Rum Runner player has three Rum Runners, three Pirates, two Musketeers, and two Mercenaries. The Interceptor player has six Swordsmen, three Slashers, and one Swashbuckler. The Rum Runner player must get one Rum Runner to the opposite side of the board to win. The Interceptor must kill all of the Rum Rummer units.
The designer notes: “Game was originally designed to be played with the 37 piece plastic ‘Pirates on the High Seas’ set from D&D Distributing Inc. but is suitable for use with paper tiles.”
