Soccerboss is a game of chance and skill. Each player becomes the manager of a football team, responsible for the running of the team, the strength of the team, and its selection, finances and transfers.
The plastic players come in the colors yellow, red, and blue in descending order of ability. Managers start with a random assortment in their teams and reserves, but may trade with other managers.
Matches are played by counting the different colors on each team to determine which of five colored levels it is at, with each level corresponding to a spinner. The spinners determine the goals scored. Managers also draw home and away cards before the match which may help or hinder. The home manager collects gate proceeds, and also rent from the visiting team if they build a stand (which is controlled by the cards).
The leaping player in the white shirt of Leeds United is Billy Bremner (9 December 1942 – 7 December 1997).
