Over time, a large number of smaller table games developed from classic billiards, all of which have remained true to the successful basic principle of sinking the ball. The Spirobille also comes from the sphere of billiard-like games, a variation that is as unusual as it is fascinating and whose game principle is extremely simple. A steel ball is brought into play via the center piece and rolls down the sloping field towards one of the players. He should remove the ball from his goal as soon as possible using the flipper lever and, if possible, hammer one of the teammates into the goal. This borrowing from the pinball game that emerged in the early 1950s gave it its current speed. (In its predecessor, the Jeu de Marteau, you still had to maneuver the balls in the direction of the opponent's goals with small clubs.) Spirobille is best played with four players, but it's just as much fun - the vacant goals are then blocked by insertable steel brackets lockable – for two or three people. The Spirobille, which is made entirely in Switzerland, is part of the standard range of so-called toy libraries there – a kind of libraries for games – in which it has to withstand all the requirements of lending. It is accordingly solidly manufactured and lasts far beyond the total exhaustion of the players.
