Zhang Qi
Zhang Qi is an abstract strategy game where players take turns claiming numbers from a fixed set. The player with the lower score always goes next, meaning getting too far ahead allows your opponent multiple consecutive turns. The winner is the player with the highest sum of claimed numbers. The square, fragmented board provides visual appeal, as the game mechanics could theoretically be played without any board at all.
This game falls under the category: Abstract Strategy.
