Hidden Agendas is a 3-6 player game all about political shenanigans which parodies the US Congressional system. In Hidden Agendas players take on the role of a political operative, each with their own secret Agenda. Play as the outspoken Activist, the cunning Ambassador, the hot-headed General, the slick Lobbyist, the seasoned Party Leader or the conniving Opposition Party. By creating, debating and voting on Bills, players compete to see their Agenda achieve victory by the end of the game with careful strategy, political maneuvering and a healthy helping of bribery, blackmail and deceit. Gameplay is a mix of strategy and party-game elements with players having to make calculated decisions about which Legislation cards to play when creating Bills so as not to give away their true intentions. During the debate stage of the game, players will argue for which Bills to Kill and which to Pass into law. Either by enticing rhetoric, or a well-placed bribe of sweet Taxpayer Dollars, players will try to Pass enough Legislation matching their Agenda to win them the game. —description from the publisher
