Pékin Express the board game is a race in which the players will move across Europe or Asia and collect points. The game ends when a player reaches the finish line (Lisbon or Beijing) and the player with the most Amulet points wins.
Once the board chosen (Asia for 2 to 4 players ; Europe for 4 to 6 players) and the setup complete, the first round begins. A round is structured as follows:
The players draft their 5 Travel cards.
The player with the Red Flag card in hand must play it and take the Red Flag token. Then they take their turn by playing a Travel card or by passing. When a player reaches first a city with no Stage Token, they gain a face down Amulet card and place a Stage Token on that city.
The players continue to take their turn in order in a similar fashion until every player has passed consecutively.
Such rounds keep going until the end of the game is triggered immediately as soon as a player reaches the finishing line (and by doing so, they gain 3 Amulet cards).
Each player counts their Amulet values, the player with the most points wins.
