Buon Gioco (pronounced "bon joko") - or "Good Game" was published by Avid Press for Starbucks, and separately marketed as a classic coffee house card game from Italy and from Mexico. From the publisher: "Originally from Italy, BUON GIOCO is a game of skill and chance for 2 or 4 players. Played extensively wherever people gather for friendship and pleasure, BUON GIOCO is the perfect cafe companion for North American coffee lovers. The design of the forty card deck is based on traditional European playing cards that date back to medieval times. The name of the suits in Italian are "Coppa" for Cup, "Oro" for Gold, "Spada" for Sword, and "Bastone" for Club. For convenience as well as atmosphere, use coffee beans for scoring by collecting one coffee bean for each game point won." Attractively packaged in a small wooden box with cardstock cover, the game includes a bag of coffee beans (for scoring, presumably not consumption!), a deck of 40 particularly attractive cards, and a small rulebook.
