Description from the rulebook:
Poltava 1709 is a two player game with one player playing the Swedish side and the other playing the Russian side. Each side has a prescribed number of units representing infantry, horse, dragoon, light cavalry, and artillery formations. The game is played on a stylized game board showing the area in which the battle of Poltava was fought.
Poltava 1709 is a promotional introductory wargame that was given to visitors of the Armémuseum Krigsspel Exhibit (Army Museum War Games Exhibit) in Stockholm, Sweden, 2017. It is based on the designer's Fields of Battle game and Mike DeSanto's Postcard from the Revolution game.
