Set in the Caribbean in 1590, Caribé is a game of pure strategy, permitting players to hide certain information in the form of stowaways on their ships, while striving to use their limited settlers with as much efficacy as possible. Each imperial power specializes in a different type of unit, each unit having different uses on the islands. Caribé allows the players to manipulate the turn order in order to take advantage of the transit times of their ships. To add yet more variety to the game, each island is of different worth to the different players.
