Created by Brazilian writer Egídio Trambaiolli Neto, based on the Legend of King Arthur, Scottish and English knights try to win the sword in this abstract game, while Celtic Sorceresses need to protect it. Excalibur is the name of the sword that belonged to King Arthur. According to legend, Excalibur was forged in Avalon, the magical island of the priestess Morgana, the Lady of the Lake, located in the south of England. There are two versions about how the sword came to belong to Arthur, in those related to Lancelot and the Holy Grail, Excalibur was embedded in a stone and, in the other version, Exalibur was given to Arthur by Morgana, the Lady of the Lake. Excalibur could only belong to someone with a good heart, with extraordinary character and integrity, whoever got it would be the future king of Britannia, the old name of England when the tale appeared. In this game, knights from two different kingdoms must compete and at the same time face Celtic sorceresses, among the swamps, to have the right to conquer Excalibur, which is once again trapped in stone, right in the middle of Avalon. Only a true heir of Arthur will be able to accomplish such a feat.
The game happens in a board with and octagonal grid. Knights move from octagon to octagon, while sorceresses move from square to square. Captures happens when two peons of the attacker (knight or sorcerer)are placed adjacent to the captured item, but diagonally opposite each other.
