This is a Japanese doujin (fan made) game that was made for sale at Japanese game shows, such as Tokyo Game Market. To get one, you had to order in advance and then pick up your copy at the show. It was not made for the general public.

War of the Galactic Empire - Imperial Conflict (Lippstadt) and Alliance Invasion is a game based on the anime Legends of the Galactic Heroes, which deals with two sides: the Empire and the Free Planets Alliance. Both sides have been fighting a war for over 150 years. In this game, Lord Reinhard takes on the Goldenbaum Monarchy, leading to a civil war within the Empire. While this is going on the Alliance takes advantage of the situation tom launch an invasion of Empire Territory.

The game has a eight-part map, two sheets of counters, One fleet organization sheet, One player aid, and rules. Assembly is required.

The game is based on the Kenshin Joraku rules from Game Journal no.46. They have been adapted and modified to simulate the nature of this space odyssey.

A second part to this game called Twilight of the Free Planets Alliance: Operation Ragnarök is also available. It adds the Alliance portion of the galaxy and two scenarios. The first scenario is the Empire Civil War (Lippstadt) and the second is the Alliance's invasion of the Empire.
