Firebase Inferno (2021)

Firebase Inferno is a 2 player wargame that takes around 1 hour to play, and is an area control, simultaneous card play, jungle combat wargame set in a near-future dystopian world. Players control one of two factions (the Cyto-Command or the Shadow-Force) who they will use to traverse treacherous jungle terrain, collect strategic resources, and construct powerful upgrades to their base that will deliver devastating blows to their opponent.

At the center of the jungle is a key village location that starts the game in control of the Shadow-Force, and is used to obtain powerful advantages and fund a rebellion against the Cyto-Command. During the game, players will fight for control of the village, along with the other 4 unique locations around the board.

Over the course of 6 rounds, players will simultaneously play commander cards from their hand to move units on and around the board, and engage their opponents in combat. At the end of six rounds, players will total their victory points to determine a winner.
