Red Chicken Rising is a game about tactical spaceship combat in the Generic Legions universe. This game reflects the battle scenes of sci fi movies and TV shows. This is the science fiction of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, of Red Dwarf, of Mystery Science Theater 3000, of Futurama, and of Galaxy Quest.
Red Chicken Rising is intended for use in battles involving anywhere up to a hundred ships on each side, or more. Therefore, the scope is on fleet actions, not the details of any particular ship. The mechanisms of movement and combat reflect this scope.
This game is built around the Generic Legions universe. The GL background may be left out and the game used as a generic sci fi spaceship system, or you can tack on the sci fi background of your choice.
