Three-Man Chess was invented by George R. Dekle Sr. in 1984. It is played on a hexagonal board with 96 quadrilateral cells.
For the most part, three-man chess follows all the normal rules of two-player chess. Different rules only apply in the center of the board. There, bishops can change color, and pawns can capture on three different squares.
The game is won by the first player to checkmate an opponent.
