NUMBERS JUGGLING!
Dice, cards, reflexes and… math!
Pitagoras (Pythagoras) is a wacky party game where you have to do quick calculations.
3 DIFFICULTY LEVELS:
- replace the blue die with red or black to adjust the difficulty level to the age of the players (by adjusting the range of numbers).
Pythagoras is a great party game, but it can also be used for education.
—description from the publisher
In Pitagoras players try to gather as many cards as they can by combining the numbers into an equation so the cards give a result shown on the dice.
At the beginning of each round one player reveals 5 cards and throw two dice. Now in real time the players try to be the first to arrange the cards in an equation using the four simplest mathematical operations so the solution is the result on the dice. The first player to solve the puzzle yells: "Got it!" - and shows the solution. They take the cards used in the equation and new round starts. The player that gather the highest number of cards is the winner.
