It's Football.
Everyone wants to play football, but this board game is the first true simulation of American Football.
You can run or pass the ball or make any play that you see on a standard American football game on television.
Every play develops naturally. You can run the ball or pass the ball on any play. It is like playing at the speed of a slow motion replay where you control where the players move next.
One play is divided into small time segments separated by a dice roll. Each roll of the dice represents a few seconds of play time. Each team rolls 2 dice to determine how much energy (energy units) it has for that roll.
The game is played on a light and dark green checkered field, and the scoreboard and down markers are built in. The offensive and defensive player pieces are setup on the field. There are two main types of player pieces, Backs and Linemen.
To start a play the offense rolls 2 dice using the dice shaker. The game can be played between two players like checkers or chess, or it can be played in groups of 2 to 4 people.
There are two teams, Home and Visitors. Each team takes turns rolling the dice and moving their pieces a little further until the play is over which can be a pass completion, incompletion, interception or tackle. The field represents 10 yards so each touchdown on the field scores 10 points (or yards) on the scoreboard. The team that reaches 100 yards first wins the game!
Note: Basic knowledge of Football is a prerequisite for the rules.
Recommended for ages 8 and up depending on brain size. The game is not as difficult as Chess or Go, but more challenging than Checkers, Reversi or Backgammon.
There are 3 levels of play: Beginner (Amateur), College, or Pro-level. At the pro-level the game can be as challenging as Chess or even Go. At the Beginner-level anyone can learn to play most of the basic moves in less than 10 minutes.
There are no cards or guessing. This is real football, where you control the OFFENSE and the DEFENSE.
