The game contains card in two colors, each color has 4 creatures printed on them, the same creatures for each color. Both colors have 24 cards, each creature has 6 cards in both colors. There are 48 players card, 6 advanced assignments cards and 1 rule card, making a total of 55 cards.
Players pick one of either color (blue or red) and take all cards in that color and shuffle them up. They then take turns playing a card, adding it to the set, either horizontally or vertically, but not diagonally. Their goal is to make a set of 4 cards, either horizontally, vertically or diagonally, of their own color. The type of monster is not important, only that it's your color. This can also be played to get 4 in a row, with the rules unchanged otherwise.
There is an advanced version of the game, this uses the 6 advanced assignment cards, where you have to place your monsters in a specific shape to win. This also includes a "X * monster" card, which means you only win if you get 4 monster (or 5 in the 5-in-a-row variant) in the same row.
This game resembles a paper version of a 4/5-in-a-row type Tic-Tac-Toe game.
This game was published as part of a promotional campaign for the KFC restaurant group.
