Eine lehrreiche Kometenfahrt ("An instructive comet ride")was a promotional game to advertise the German company Torol and its gas lights products.
This roll and move game has players travelling through the solar system, starting at the sun and finishing at Neptune. Pluto is mentioned as a newly discovered planet (discovered 1930) but is out of order from the other celestial bodies. The game is instructive giving information about the planets.
Players begin by paying 2 Marks to the cashier and may add to the pool by landing on certain worlds. Some planets may give an extra throw of the dice. While asteroids or Halleys comet can send you forward or backwards. The winner is the first to land by exact count (number 120) on Neptune and collects the cashiers total.
