LORE offers an RPG-light framework, letting you assume the guise of a classic fantasy archetype. When you escape into the world of Lore, you'll embark on quests, uncover lore, battle mythical monsters, find treasure, get into fantastical predicaments, and more.

Lore: Second edition makes the following changes:

Actions are chosen, not mitigated to action cards.
Turn phases have been restructured to Movement/train, action, and event.
The archetypes now have unique abilities instead of auras.
A single player and co-op version of play.
Unique character pieces for each archetype.
A world map with various locations and a more robust movement system.
Enhances positive player interaction in events and quests.
A simplified dueling system for monster battles.


The second edition still follows the day system, and the game ends on the third day. In a competitive game, players will collect victory points based on the success of their adventures, adding up quests completed, monsters defeated, lore uncovered, treasure collected, and renown. The player with the highest total wins, but it's about the journey, not the destination.

In single-player and co-op variants, players will go toe to toe with the Dark Paladin, the evil force plaguing the land of Lore. Work together to destroy his curses, take back relics, save the people from monstrous fates & ultimately team up to battle the Dark Paladin.
