Qo (2023)

Qo is a 'creative strategy' game played on a game board with an 8x8 grid where players remove the lodestones of their opponent to keep the game in balance. It uses the new DiCe game mechanic where every move you make also benefits your opponent (and every move you make against them can also work against you).

Qo can be considered a di-centralized version of Go, though with necessarily different rules and gameplay.

The objective of Qo is to keep the game in balance by removing blocked lodestones until the game ends. The game ends when either opponent runs out of lodestones or when either opponent has formed a complete horizontal or vertical line with their lodestones.

Qo has just 3 simple rules. Yet, during gameplay a paradox of elegance forms when players realize the beauty of what is happening on the board. See if you can figure out how it works.
