River Woods is a challenging and strategic tile placement exploration board game for 2 to 4 players.
Players take on the role of City Dogs travelling to explore the challenges in the forest and collect the gifts of nature. They will also get to meet local companions as guides to assist the players in achieving the best experiences in the River Woods.
The game is played within 5 rounds. Each player’s turn consists of the following phases:
1. Select Action - In each player’s turn, that player must place one of the numbered Action Discs to perform a Terrain Action, Companion Action, or Movement Action.
2. Check Objectives - At the end of a player’s turn, that player will need to check if the requirements of Terrain Objective Cards or Round Objective Cards can be met.
The round ends after players perform 3 turns, and then prepare the setup for the next round.
At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins the game.
