In Financier (aka A Stock Market Game) players invest in six companies. These companies start with random values (1-6) and on each turn the active player must change the value of one of them by rolling two dice. They must choose one die which represents the company to change, the other die being the amount of the change, and whether the total of the two dice is odd or even determines whether the value goes up or down.

The player can then purchase up to three shares of one of the two companies rolled, using money printed on the gamesheet; no change is given and when it is used up no more purchases can be made.

The object is to have the greatest total share value and capital when the game ends, which happens when a roll can't be used (each company's value can only be changed a fixed number of times).
