Beschreibung
The construction of an interplanetary ship has been completed in the cellars of the Shredder's citadel. Now Shredder intends to leave Earth and destroy the civilization of the utroms. Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello must break through the ninja army of the Foot clan and stop their most important enemy.
Shredder's Citadel is a cooperative board game in which participants play together against the playing field. The Oroku Saki estate is attacked by all four turtles, the players divide them among themselves. The role of the fifth player is reduced to preparing the field and throwing dice for enemies, so it is optimal to sit down at the game together (players have two characters) or four (each has its own character).
The playing field is a section of the Oroku Saki citadel. After landing in the Shredder's chambers on the top floor, the turtles must make their way through two tiers of rooms to the basement, find the launch pad and defeat the villain. This should be done in 10 moves while the starship's engine is warming up. At the beginning of the game, 9 rooms of the citadel are randomly laid out on the playing field: the turtles do not know what awaits them in a particular room until they go inside.
The hero can spend his turn on rest (to restore his health to the maximum), or to move to the next room of the citadel. If this room has not yet been explored by the turtles, its card is turned upside down, where the enemies located here are listed. There are three types of them in the game: ninjas, elite ninjas and combat robots; as well as four "bosses" led by Shredder. The "bosses" are unique and each sit in their own basement room, and the number of ordinary enemies of each type in the room is determined by a roll of dice. Thus, 3-4 opponents and a crowd of 15-20 heads can meet you in the room. All of them will have to be defeated — either alone, or by calling for help from brothers from neighboring rooms. The combat mechanics are quite simple and elegant, although based on the same hexagon rolls. The cycle repeats until the turtles defeat Shredder, are themselves defeated by his servants, or until Shredder escapes the green hands of justice.
There is only one strategy in the game: first, make your way straight down to the basement (fortunately, the enemies along the way are mostly frivolous), then explore it, hoping for luck — with bad throws, even a couple of basement rooms may not be able to clear the enemy from the enemy. April should be sent to one of the rooms, and the support of Splinter and Casey Jones should be saved until the final battle. It is not recommended to get carried away with searching for equipment on the upper floors: you will lose time and effort, but there is little sense from technology.
Present:
Don, Raf, Leo and Mikey;
The randomness factor;
Hordes of enemies.
Missing:
Strategic diversity;
Krang;
Bebop and Rocksteady.
