Rubicon: Republic In Crisis is a fast-paced, historical strategy game based on the politics of the late Roman Republic. It packs substantial but managable depth amount of depth into an intuitive and surprisingly streamlined gameplay. Every game is tense and usually close-fought.

In Rubicon, players take the part of prominent citizens and vie with each other for control of Rome through influence or military domination. Players run for election, court popularity with the People and Senate, attract influential supporters, vote on crucial issues in the Senate, and gain the loyalty of battle-hardened veterans by slaughtering barbarian hordes. Only one player may win, but cooperation is necessary to survive till the end.

With several paths to victory and the possibility of ever-shifting alliances, success is hard to come by. In a harsh world, only the strong will survive. Will it be you?
