First ASL scenario designed by French ASL'er Michel Bongiovanni, pits elements of the German Grenadier Regiment 980 against the British elements of the 7st Black Watch and 1st Northamptonshire Yeomanry. This expansion of the Advanced Squad Leader game system simulates squad level warfare based on historical information. For this scenario, the date is 16th August 1944, the location is St Pierre-sur-Dives, France.
Part of Operation Paddle, the British goal is take the town of Lisieux. In the morning of 16th August, a bridge of the Dives was secured, and the 154th Infantry Brigade sped forward to reach the Oudon. But the leading tanks and armoured cars was greeted by a hail of fire coming from the Godet Hill standing before the river. The commanding heights must be seized until the river could be reached.
Victory Conditions : The British win at game end if
there is no good order German Multi Man Counter or vehicle with
functioning MA on level 2 hill hexes.
Requires ASL British and German Orders of Battle, game boards 6 and 47.
